The BRCGS START! for Auditors course is designed to instruct participants how to effectively audit the BRCGS START! Programme for both basic and intermediate levels. The training material focuses on the objective evidence auditors are required to collect and review when determining compliance against the BRCGS START! programme requirements.

Through hands-on training, you’ll learn exactly what evidence to look for and how to evaluate compliance with BRCGS START! requirements. Purpose

The purpose of this course is to instruct participants how to effectively audit the BRCGS START! Programme for both basic and intermediate levels.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamental differences between BRCGS START! and BRCGS Food Safety programme requirements
  • Provide examples of the types of objective evidence that would be considered acceptable for compliance
  • Explain the differences between the basic level and intermediate levels of BRCGS START!
  • Determine a siteโ€™s compliance against the BRCGS START! requirements
  • Recall resource tools available for compliance and support from BRCGS

Who should attend?

This training is suitable for new BRCGS auditors who already hold a Lead Assessor qualification, Consultants and technical and quality managers from sites who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the BRCGS audit process.

Course facilitator:ย ย This course is personally trained byย Amanda Evans-Laraย who is a BRCGS Approved Virtual Trainer and BRCGS Approved Training Partner with over 30 yearsโ€™ experience in food safety.

Prerequisite:ย  Before the course it is recommended that you read and review a copy of the Standard.ย A free copy is available for download from the BRCGS Store.

Delivery:ย Virtual Live (face-to-face)

Duration:ย 2 days

Assessment:ย  At the end of the course you will be assessed with an exam. ย A total score of 75% or over is required to receive a Pass grade.

Award:ย BRCGS Certificate of Achievement (with exam pass)ย ORย BRCGS Certificate of Attendance

Requirements:ย A stable internet connection that is capable of streaming video and audio, a webcam and microphone.
