SUMMARY

Food Defense is the effort to protect food from acts of intentional adulteration. In May 2016 FDA issued the final rule on Mitigation Strategies to Protect Food Against Intentional Adulteration with requirements for covered facilities to prepare and implement food defense plans.

The FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Rule for ‘Mitigation Strategies to Protect Food Against Intentional Adulteration’, referred commonly as the IA Rule, is aimed at preventing intentional adulteration from acts intended to cause wide-scale harm to public health.

Our FSMA Compliance for the Intentional Adulteration Rule course is designed to provide an overview of the IA Rule and how to implement its compliance requirements within your food business.

This training is presented over 8 hours via a virtual classroom and covers a practical implementation approach to help you to:

  • Prepare and implement a written food defense plan
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify significant vulnerabilities and actionable process steps, and,
  • Identify and implement mitigation strategies to minimize vulnerabilities

What People Are Saying...

Great experience for not having to travel.

“After completion of the FSPCA Part 1 Online course I was hesitant about Part 2 being a virtual course having never participated in something like that. Upon completing Part 2 with Amanda Evans-Lara, I was satisfied with the outcome. Everything from the login directions to the activities were clear and simple. There was never an uncomfortable feeling about the class. The combination of knowledge presented by the instructor and exercises asked to be done were informative and useful. ”

Nick Yakas | Dennco Foods

A refreshing alternative to classroom training.

“The online options for training is a great way to ensure all the required information and certification is met while being able to do the training in your own environment and at your own pace. The content of the training was exceptional, as was the trainer, and I personally got a lot out of it. A refreshing alternative to classroom training”

Janie Zimmermann | Quality Manager | Coopers Brewery

Save Time And Travel.

“Having the Virtual format allowed better flexibility for timing and eliminated the need to travel. The course was easy to follow and I will take away much more than I would have a traditional classroom setting”

Savannah Holmer | Manager, Food Safety & Regulatory | Nikken Foods
